Description of Practice
John provides a wide spectrum of ADR services, including individual and group mediations, multi-party mediations, and mediation consultation. He also frequently arbitrates cases for several national organizations. John is a seasoned negotiator who can assist clients in the process or negotiate directly on their behalf, including coordination with carriers regarding authority and coverage issues. John also offers aggregate settlement allocation and distribution services.

The focus of John’s legal career has been dispute resolution. He has been involved in the negotiation and resolution of thousands of claims and has participated in hundreds of mediations. These claims have covered the spectrum of damages, from nuisance to catastrophic and wrongful death, and ranged from coverage disputes to pharmaceutical and medical device matters. John is on the approved list of outside mediators for the Mediation and Assessment Program for the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri and provides mediation services for the Jackson County Circuit Court Mediation Program. John is further on the arbitration and mediation rosters of National Arbitration and Mediation ("NAM") and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority ("FINRA").
Over his nearly 30 year legal career, John has gained perspective through experience, having both defended companies and represented individuals in personal injury actions. He is trusted by members of both bars and works equally well with each.
John has no travel, time or subject matter restrictions.
